It's been too long!

Hey friends!!

Sorry that I haven't posted in a really long time. At least I have a good reason, I GOT A JOB!!!! Yay!!!!! I'm really excited about it! I just finished my first week, and I think it is going to be a really good fit for me. Its for a company called Rethink Autism. My position is as a district trainer so I will be in charge of 3 regions around the US and I will help all of the districts within those regions to use our program. Texas is in my region so I'm hoping that I will get to come to Texas on some trips :) It's a super cool company and everyone has been so nice to me. We are a fairly new company so everyone works collaboratively together on new ideas and such. I don't have to be at work until 9:30 which is pretty sweet!! There is also a guy from Houston who works there.... yay!!! He is a longhorn but I forgive him. The poor technology guy at work probably hates me. I have to use a Mac which I am now getting use to. But this poor guy.... I always have to call him over to help me. He is super nice and doesn't mind, but I think I will make him some cookies anyway.

I think this place has good friend potential which I am excited about :) Also, I have stuff to talk about now! I get to go on my first business trip on Wednesday so I am very excited about that :) Now I just need to figure out what to wear....

I'm glad that I am making friends at work, but I also got to hang out with a super cool girl my age who is a chef. She is my friend Patricia's cousin, and she lives up here. She took me around to show me what some cool places. It was really sweet of her.

Timmy and I are ready for more visitors :) Anybody wanna come? We miss Texas so much! I will tell you that the weather here is great right now! High of like 67 today... you could come beat the heat.

We miss yall more than you know. We are getting used to the city, but it's just not the same. People are nicer here than I originally thought, but not Texas nice.

I love yall!!!

Hurricane... Yankee style

So I'm back in NY... so sad...

I was lucky enough to get to spend three weeks in the great state of Texas (and a few days in New Orleans :) with my wonderful family and friends. I stayed with my parents most of the time and I got to spend a lot of time with Mom, Dad, Laura, Craig, and Carter :) I missed them so much!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got to see a lot of people and spend quality times with the ones that I love!!! I am now tanner, and can appreciate how much New York has cooled off. One day last week the high was only 78!! And at night I needed a sweater!!! Craziness. I also got to eat MEXICAN food, Whataburger, Chic fil a, and oh yes... Sonic :)

Of course.... my flight got delayed and we got stuck in a holding pattern, then the trains were delayed because of rain, blah, blah, blah. Basically, if you travel with me, do not expect to arrive at your destination on time or close to it for that matter!

Since being home, I am aching to be at school again! The back to school commercials that used to strike fear in my heart now make me nostalgic. I miss my kids and my peeps at school. I did get to visit one day and say hi to everyone, but it just made me sadder that I am not there with them. I will continue to job search here and hopefully will get out of this apartment soon! (Timmy did clean the heck out of it while I was gone though, so it's nice and pretty)

I started Weight Watchers this week so that I can get some human interaction! The people at the meeting are very nice, and a few ladies with sweet accents took me in. They told me that they were sure that I would be a success here because I was so polite and have an awesome accent. I took that as a compliment :)

Timmy and I got to go to a taping of the new show "The Chew" today. It was fun... our first TV show! And it was all about food so we liked it.

Other than that, we have been all about Mother Nature around here. I didn't feel the earthquake the other day (thank God) but Timmy did at work. Now, the only thing that people are taking about is Hurricane Irene. These people have no idea what a hurricane is!!!! I am all about being prepared, and it looks like we will get hit, but people are freaking out! It's the ONLY thing on TV and the whole city is shutting down tomorrow. So nuts! No subway, no trains, no nothing. Time to hunker down.

We are so lucky to have so many people who are worried about us, but don't worry everybody, this aint our first rodeo :) We are really just going to hope for the best and ride it out!

Well, I don't have that much to write about tonight. I love you all and already miss you and the great state of Texas! I hope you have a great weekend

TEXAS HERE I COME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well hello friends!!!

I'm going to start by saying... I'm currently sitting in the airport waiting for my flight home!!!!! I'm so excited I can't stand it. I have my Texas T shirt on and got to the airport 4 and half hours before the flight just to be safe. And lets be honest... what else was I going to do?? Of course... flight delay...BOOOOOOOOOO

Anyway... things have been a little crazy around here lately. I was a study crazed girl for the last week preparing for my face to face (via skype) final for my crazy class.... no pressure right. I studied for hours and hours until I couldn't see straight and then when the final came she said... tell me what you learned in class. After a couple of answers she said... sounds like you learned a lot, have a great summer. SERIOUSLY?????? Oh well... glad it's over.

After that final I was in a wierd mood. I got a call from the desk saying that we had a package. Timmy brought it up and we discovered it was a FABULOUS care package of home made (in Texas) banana bread from the lovely Ms. Angie Pogue (Jess's sister) :) It was the most wonderful surprise!! It was so yummy and so unexpected! Love her!

Then on Friday we had two very special visitors... Kristen and Bryan!!!!!!! Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We had some much needed fun with friends in the city. We went to see Chicago on Broadway and I thought Kristen was going to pass out from excitement. We went to the MET and got to go to the Alexander McQueen exhibit which was crazy awesome. A lot of weird mixed with a lot of beauty. I don't think the boys were too impressed but oh well... we enjoyed it! We saw a lot of the city and ate a lot of good food including our first Korean BBQ experience which was wonderful. We were very VERY sad to see them go but are looking forward to their upcoming wedding in October!

While running errands yesterday, I thought... might as well run into a store to look at shoes... no harm in that right... WRONG! As I'm trying on a pair of heels (trying to convince myself that yes, I can in fact walk in these) I hear a man yelling, loudly. He was screaming some racial obscenities over and over. I couldn't see him from where I was, and tried to stay hidden. I thought, yup, this is how I will die. This crazy man will pull out a gun and I'll get shot and killed with one tennis shoe on and one heel. So sad. Luckily most people in NY are used to crazies so he was escorted out and no one stopped shopping. I live in a very weird place.

When I got home, I checked the mail and ... I had another surprise. From the lovely Jessica :) Adorable pictures of my BFF Mason (her sweet angel baby). They are the cutest baby pictures ever! I guess cute kids take cute pictures. She also sent me a Chick fil a gift card for my trip home. LOVE LOVE LOVE me some Jessica Whitted Deemer!!!

Since we moved, I have realized again and again how lucky Timmy and I are. We have the most wonderful network of friends and family who lift us up when we are falling down. They know when we need a boost and know exactly how to cheer us up. From cards and packages to phone calls and skypes... we couldn't ask for better people in our lives! I really love y'all!!!!

Well... boarding for my flight will start soon so I need to go. I hope to see you all when I'm in Texas!!!!! I'm hitting up some SONIC right away :) I love you guys and I hope you are having a great day... I know I am :)

XOXOXO

Long days

Hey everybody :)

So apparently I am really bad at blogging. I should do it more often. I'm just sooooooo busy. hahaha... well that's not it.

Lets see.... where do I start....

Oh I know... I BOOKED MY FLIGHT HOME :) I can't wait to be back in Texas!!!

Other than that... Lesslie came in for a visit and we got to go shopping... a little too much shopping... but what can you do? ha ha

Two weeks ago Timmy and I went to Boston for the weekend. My aunt and uncle were there for a week vacation so we decided to take the Megabus for the weekend. It was a pretty sweet way to travel. You just show up and get on the bus, no one pats you down or anything :) Once we got there we met up with Uncle Don and Aunt Martine and went to eat at Legals!!!!! Sooooo good. Lobster roll +Clam Chowder = one happy Ally. It was fun to see family and hang out. We went to Quincy market and walked around through the Public Gardens. It was a short fun trip complete with Mike's Bakery goodies!!! I made everyone with us a believer!

Last week seemed forever long, I am back in school, and my class is HORRIBLE. Timmy had to work like a maniac last week. He didn't get home until midnight a few nights. Overall, last week wasn't my best. That plane ticket home was burning a hole in my pocket. After a lot of thought, I decided to go ahead and apply for a teaching job for next school year. When I had first moved up here, I thought I would be so busy and have so many volunteer opportunities, but really, I just sit at home all day. I was not meant for that! I was meant to work! I miss my kids. So I applied at a few private schools. I'm hoping to hear back, but I'm worried that it may be too close to the school year. Anyway, send happy hired thoughts this way :)

Timmy decided the day off on Friday so we got to hang out. It was nice being able to do stuff with another human being! We picked out paint for the apartment and planned our adventures for the next few days. We had really been wanting to go to the beach but we didn't know where to go so we decided to go to Coney Island. At first, we were having a lot of fun. We ate some WONDERFUL hot dogs and headed down to the beach. O...M...G... so many people!!! It was crazy, well...they were crazy. There was an old man swimming in his way to tight tighty whities, an older woman swimming in a white tee shirt with nothing under it, and all kinds of other fun people. The water was FREEZING which was not good for anyone involved. We didn't stay too long. It was an interesting experience, but probably won't happen again. Now I understand why people shell out the big bucks for the Hamptons. haha

The next day we went to mass at St. Patrick's Cathedral. I was so excited to go! It was breath taking. Absolutely beautiful. When mass started, it got a little strange. We couldn't hear anything ( I guess I shouldn't be surprised that a 150 year old church didn't have a sweet sound system). It was strange to have people walking around taking pictures while mass was going on. It was a little distracting. All in all I think that it would be a good place to go for big services but not for every Sunday. I don't know what I was expecting... maybe an angel giving the homily or something, I mean... its a cathedral. Apparently that is just asking a little too much.

Yesterday was our anniversary :) Can't believe it has already been 2 years! How different things were two years ago! Timmy took me to the Mesa Grill, Bobby Flay's restaurant. IT WAS SO FABULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Everything we ate was wonderful and no one covered up my mess this time! We had a fun time and a great anniversary dinner.

I know that's not much, but, I haven't had a lot going on. I am painting the apartment and will hopefully be done by the end of this coming weekend. After that I will post some pictuers of our place.

I miss you all and am ready for visits!!!! I can't wait to be back in Texas to give you all hugs!!!!

Have a great rest of the week!

Big Week :)

Happy Wednesday all!

Sorry It's been a while since I have written, this time it was because we were actually BUSY :) This is a feeling I had forgotten all about.

On Tuesday, we got CABLE!!!!! That alone makes a big difference in my day. Young and the Restless... here I come. Last week, we also got a dresser which was very exciting. This was the first piece of furniture that Timmy and I bought together, so that was fun.

Fast forward a few days and A LOT of TV...

We have a brand new nephew!!! Connor James Kelly was born last week and is adorable :) This makes 6 nieces and nephews on the Kelly side! Congrats to Ashley and Chris on their first bundle of joy. This little one is pre destined to play ball.

This weekend was a lot of fun. Timmy got to leave work EARLY on Friday and then had a three day weekend!! We did not know what to do with ourselves with so much time. On Friday we tried out online grocery shopping. People here have everything delivered so we decided to try it out. I will say... it was pretty cool. You don't have to lug bags around or remember to bring your own reusable bags. It was neat. Down side... I LOVE GROCERY SHOPPING! I like being able to pick out my own produce, see what's new, see what's on sale. Oh well. This will probably keep me from impulse buying on the ice cream aisle, but it also may keep me from buying veggies. Haha. Oh well, you win some you lose some!

Saturday was date night! We went to a YUMMY Italian restaurant for dinner. I got a jumbo lump crab steak... that' right... steak :) It was like a monster crab cake with hardly any breading. Delish!! For desert we had this ball of gelato! It was gelato, wrapped in gelato, wraped in more gellato, wrapped in choc. chunks. mmmmmmmm... And... no one covered up my messes with napkins haha. After dinner, we walked to the Addams Family on Broadway. Our first Broadway show! Timmy got really good tickets so we were up close for the action. The show was awesome. VERY funny. We grew up watching re runs of the show and the play kept the characters very well. After the show, there was a group of people gathered and so we walked over. It ended up being a line where the cast came out for pictures and autographs. So we waited and got autographs and got to see Brooke Shields who played Morticia. That was pretty cool. She is beautiful up close!! It was very cool. Timmy was in charge of getting the playbill signed because I was afraid I would somehow mess it up. I asked if he said anything besides "Thank you" but he said no. I told him that if it were me, the night would have probably played out a little more like this....

Me: "Thank you Ms. Shields, by the way you are fabulous."

Brooke: As she looks up kindly "Why thank you so much! That is so sweet of you. You look like you are new here. Are you visiting."

Me: "Oh no ma'am, we just moved here from Texas. This is our first night out and about."

Brooke: "Texas. That must mean that you are awesome! Do you want to be best friends?"

Me: "That sounds great!"

Brooke: "Well why don't you join me in my limo, and we will see the town. Also, let me give you my personal cell number so you can call any time."

Me:" Ok, that sounds wonderful...."

Man..... Timmy really screwed that up...

As we were walking home from the play we heard a crowd screaming! We looked over and saw that it was coming from the theater where Daniel Radcliffe has a play (Harry Potter). He must have just come out to a crowd of young girls. haha. That was really funny.

The next day we went to a "BBQ" in Brooklyn with some people that Timmy works with. It was fun to be around and meet new people for a while.

Then came Monday... 4th of July! We found out about a Texas BBQ place in Chelsea so we thought, what better day to check it out. We heard it was owned and run by Aggies, so we made sure to wear our Aggie rings and Timmy wore an Aggie shirt. When we got up to the counter... the guys said..." we don't serve Aggies here" ... LONGHORNS.... hisssssssssss. Luckily in NY, Texans are Texans and even a little burnt orange can't change that. The food was great and included Blue Bell ice cream :) So good!!!

We heard about the Macy's fireworks spectacular and found out it was over the Hudson which is RIGHT by our apt. So we thought we would check it out. After a food coma nap, we headed down to get a spot. We had to find a spot and then wait 3 and a half hours for the show. I (not being known for an overwhelmingly positive attitude) thought "this better be worth it." There was some great people watching and we met a few nice people who gave us some advice. When it was finally time, there was nothing but pure joy down 12th Ave. The fireworks were unbelievable!!!! Everyone in the street seemed to revert back to being 7 years old. Adults were giggling, kids were jumping up and down, it was awesome. It was the biggest display, by far, that I had ever seen. It was truly spectacular!! Well worth the wait next to the crazy french people.

Now it's back to the same old same old. We got a coffee table yesterday so that's exciting :) I started class today so that will keep me busy. The days are pretty boring... so much so that I have been reduced to watching the Twilight saga. For those of you who know me well know that this is so sad. It is a true testament to my boredom, especially considering my paralyzing fear of vampires. I am on team Jacob. The werewolves at least have a tan. My next feat... watching all of the Harry Potter movies. He does look in my window everyday (huge billboard). I think he's mad that I haven't watched them.

Now that it is July, time seems to be speeding up which is what I needed. The lovely Lesslie is coming for another visit on Friday and then we have more friends visiting at the end of this month. Then.... I COME BACK TO TEXAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait to see that lone star waving in the breeze.

I miss y'all so much!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you for all of the phone calls and words of support. I love you! I hope you all had a sonic drink last week. This week... chick fil a. Even if you just drive by it, and know that you could have it if you wanted it! I will be posting again soon. I need to get better at this...

Love you!!!

Another week...

Howdy all :)

I didn't realize that it has been a whole week since I posted. Wow, time flies when you are doing nothing... haha (I'm only kind of kidding).

I didn't venture out much during the week this week. On Wednesday I set out to the upper west side and LOVED the area. It was very clean and organized and modern without being stuck up. That is where I found our first real piece of furniture!! We have a dresser on it's way this week. I'm so excited!!! 7 year old me would be ashamed at my enthusiasm towards new furniture but, I don't care :)

On Thursday, I had a pretty rough time. It is starting to really kick in that we don't have our family and friends here and that is tough. Being home alone all day really started to wear me down. Luckily, I have an AMAZING Mom who skyped with me, talked me through it, and made me feel like a person again. I have such a wonderful family and I am more thankful for them now than I ever have been. I love them so much!!!!!

Timmy knew that I was having a rough go of it on Thursday so he decided to take me to Bobby Flay's restaurant Bar Americain, so we got dressed up, and headed out. I had ciopinno for dinner which had half of a lobster (still in the shell) and I had to crack it. Well, I made a pretty descent mess (not limited to the cracking of the lobster). Once they cleared the plates, our waitress saw the spots on the pristine white table cloth and then came back over with a white linen napkin to spread over and hide the spill on the table cloth. She then said, "sorry, restaurant policy." HOW EMBARRASSING!!! So... needless to say... I did not make eye contact with her the rest of the meal. I asked Timmy if he wanted to switch spots, but he respectfully declined. :) All in all, we had a very yummy meal (though I was expecting more zing from the king of spice) and walked back home. It is out of control how many people are ALWAYS out and about here!

Like I said... not much in the way of adventure this week but we did have a good weekend. On Saturday we headed to the south end of the island and went exploring. The south end is very nice :) We visited Wall Street and got to see the Bull. I really wanted to take a picture with it but as with everything here, it was jam packed with people...lame. We then went onward to Battery Park and down to where the Staten Island Ferry runs. We could see the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island from the shore and that was pretty cool. It was a lot of walking but we got to go along the Hudson and see the pretty parks and flowers along the way... and eat a lobster roll on the water :)

Sunday we had brunch... WITH FRIENDS! I know a couple, friends that I went to high school with who live here now, but are soon moving (of course). It was great to get together with some familiar faces and to get some insight from people who were in the same boat not too long ago. We ate at a cafe that was in the movie You've Got Mail. yuuuummmm. They told us a bunch of fun things to do and gave us some great resources to help us along the way. We were also informed about the treacherous winter that will come before we know it. Uh oh...

It was a fun weekend with a promising week ahead. I plan on attempting the crazy Macy's again and on Tuesday, we get CABLE and our dresser delivered :) A big day for the Kellys haha. On Saturday we will to to our first Broadway play and Timmy has a three day weekend! Things are going to be out of control haha :)

Once July hits, I'm hoping things will start moving faster. Our anniversary is coming up, 4th of July is next weekend, Kristen and Bryan are coming up for a visit, and I had a very promising conversation with Sally about a possible trip up here. Then at the very beginning of August... BACK TO TEXAS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Get excited!! Things are looking up :)

I just want to say that moving up here has really made me feel so incredibly lucky. I have had a rough time so far, but my support network is incredible! I have the best family and friends that anyone could ever ask for. I was afraid that people would already be forgetting about me, but everyone has been so wonderful. Mom and Laura have been beyond fabulous and check in on me just about every day. They are both always ready talk me through anything when I'm scared, just like they always have been. Mom and I have gotten really good at skyping which helps me to not feel so lonely. Sally, Kristen, Jessica, and all of our friends have been checking in to make sure we are doing well, and are always ready with an enthusiastic, "It's going to be such an adventure!"

I miss y'all so much, and I love you more than you can know! Your words of encouragement and my eagerness to see you soon is what is getting me through all of this. I would not be making it right now if it wasn't for your support in this crazy time in my life. I hope you all have a wonderful week :) Drink a wonderful sonic drink for me this week ;) and savor it!!!

First weekend

Hello all :)

Well it has been a few days since I posted, so I thought I would tell you guys some new stories :)

We are winding down on our first weekend in the city and boy is there a lot to talk about!!

On Wednesday, I ventured out alone to make the 2.5 mile journey to Bloomingdales. Almost got his by a cab (this is starting to become a bit of a routine) but I made it! On my journey, I was approached by a guy about my age on the street. He said, "Excuse me, where are you from?" I thought, "He must KNOW I am from Texas.." So I said with pride "TEXAS!!!" with a big honkin smile. He said, "cool, I'm from Washington, and we are really trying to get our music out to the public." My heart dropped. I was so excited to find someone to talk about Texas with. Instead, I was handed a sweet looking CD complete with two rapping babies on the cover. haha.. that's right... RAPPING BABIES. I listened to his speech about loving his music blah blah blah, and he said I could have the CD for just a small donation... even just 4 quarters. I politely declined and he attempted one last time with "but you could be my sister from another mister... just help me out, you'll love our music." I told him that I was sure I would, but no thanks, and giggled as I walked away. hahaha... crazies

On Friday, I went on the subway ALL BY MYSELF!!!!! I was very impressed with myself... for obvious reasons. I must have looked like I knew what I was doing because an old man asked me for directions :) (of course I had no idea where he was asking about) I went all the way to SoHo to see what all was there and to do some more shopping. Did you know that at the DSW here they carry Jimmy Choo!!! What is that about??? Of course, whenever I leave the house...RAIN. So I chose to cab it home. Halfway home, my cabbie says, "hold on miss, I have to go to the bathroom" and LEAVES me alone in the cab!! Then, once I got home he tried to charge me even for the time he was not in the cab. I called him on it, but tipped him anyway out of pure fear... I have to get better about that.

We chose to make Saturday our day to go to Jersey. We were going to look at furniture, go to Target and go grocery shopping a super walmart. We were ready for the day and jumped in a cab. The cabbie asked us how much we want to pay. Confused we asked how much does it cost. He said that it just depends on what we want to pay and to make him an offer. Still confused we said... "it's just four miles" He said, "most people pay 45, 50, 55 bucks." Timmy said "we will give you 15 bucks... it's four miles." He said "NO! GET OUT." and kicked us out. So... new game plan... headed to Queens. That was quite and experience with some great people watching. We got to go to TARGET!!!! wooohoooooooo.

Our friend Lesslie met up with us in Queens. She was on an overnight trip and had 22 hours to spend with us! Woohoo... our first visitor :) She braved the crazy subway with us and we got to hand out with a Texas friend! We went to a super tasty dinner at a place called Mizza. They had delicious Italian food. I got a "Sunday pasta" that had meatballs and sausage... yuuuuummmmmy. As I was eating, I found a small little morsel in my pasta that had come out of my meatball. I ate it. It was sweet and tasted like a blueberry. Timmy and Lesslie tried it and agreed. Strange but it indeed tasted like a blueberry. The food was so good, but we were thrown off, so I asked the waitress... "This may sound stupid but... are there blueberries in the meatballs?" The waitress starts rolling laughing and says... "that's so cute. No, they are currants, but you're right, they kind of taste like blueberries. hahahahahha that is my favorite question ever!" then walks away laughing at me. That was embarrassing, but seems like that is just the story of my life these days. ... looking like an idiot. At least I made her laugh. Oh well... what can you do???

Well. today is Father's Day and I really miss my family. Being away is really hard. I want to count down the days back to Texas. There has to be an app for that.

Well I miss you and and love you very much. Everybody hug somebody else and pretend it's me :) I'll check in with you later!

We have arrived!

Hello everyone :) Well it's official, we live in New York City. How weird is that? Today was my third day here and people are asking for my blog to start, so... here goes nothing :)

Our journey here was tough. Timmy was smart and upgraded us to first class, in hopes that I would be less likely to bail. It worked I guess because I am here. He also sweetened the deal with tickets, for my birthday, to see The Addams Family on Broadway in a few weeks. He knows me too well. I'm sure the flight attendants thought I was a crazy person but I made sure to not wear mascara that morning so as not to frighten anyone. All of our luggage made it, which was a relief!

When we first walked into the apartment, my heart stopped a little. It looked SO SMALL! Boxes literally filled the apartment and I had no idea where everything would possibly fit. I thought we had gotten rid of so much, yet it seemed like an impossible task. Then I opened the boxes to find that each box contained an entire tree's worth of paper to pack two picture frames.

Our apt building is very nice. The view is wonderful from our rooftop. You can see the statue of liberty. You can see the Hudson River from our windows in our apartment so that is pretty cool also. I was afraid that there would be a ton of noise at all hours, but it is nice and quiet in our apartment. It did not come with blinds and I forgot to pack our curtains, so that is next on my agenda because we get a lot of natural light. We have decent closets (for NY) so that is also a very good thing. First thing we did.... ate pizza :) Oddly enough, we ate at a place that loves New Orleans so Timmy got a slice that had crawfish on it and tasted like gumbo. Different, but it kinda tasted like home... cajun style :)

We then ventured to Bed Bath and Beyond. HA! It's three stories and has a doorman. It made me dizzy.

Then to the grocery store. HA again! I miss HEB. Everything here is outrageously priced. They only have two kinds of ramen noodles and they are like 70 cents for one. Boooooooo. I'm not happy about this.

Our first full day, Timmy went to work, and I tackled the boxes, all 43 of them. I stayed up until 3:30 am but I got a huge chunk done! I did not venture out past the diner under our building. Nothing to write home about from there...so sad.

Today was day two. I got all boxes unpacked! It took a lot of effort, but it's done. I decided to venture out today...alone. I walked all the way to Macy's and didn't get lost. I almost got hit by a car, but at least I knew where I was going. Macy's was out of control. 9 stories and almost a whole block. Nuts. I was overwhelmed. They have a starbucks, an au bon pain, and a McDonalds INSIDE Macy's!!!!!! Haha, no one else there was as impressed as I was. Snobs...
Naturally when I got out, the rain was coming down, and I had no umbrella. Good excuse to cab it home instead of walking.

Well that's it for now! Once the house looks good I will post some pictures :) I'm venturing out further tomorrow so we will see how that goes. I'll check back in soon! I love you and miss you all terribly!!!!
